What does mixing including mastering cost?
Prices for analog mixing and mastering vary significantly depending on the quality of the raw material and the desired final sound of the song. Below is an example calculation for typical song projects with analog mixing and mastering:| Scope | Price |

To give you a better understanding of how the prices of recording studios ,especially our Online mixing services and Mastering studio , are composed, we would like to explain it to you in more detail using an example calculation. Of course, not all aspects necessary tp process an order are detailed here. However, the times mentioned include the respective total time for the recording studio operator for each specific task.
- Song: 6 vocal tracks, 20 instrumental tracks
- Quality: better home production (equipment and acoustics for approx. 2000 €)
- Price: 300€ (10 €/track including mastering) – This price has been determined over the last 20 years by time tracking the projects on the individual track.

WHAT DOES A MIXING OR MASTERING ENGINEER ACTUALLY OFFER WITH THEIR “EXPENSIVE” PRICE?
So we would come to an approximate total of about 300 € that was allocated for the mix. But what does the engineer get out of this?
We have also asked ourselves this question, and here is the breakdown for you:

CONCLUSION OF THE CALCULATION:
As we determined above, we earned € 300 for one Mix and Master . However, there are still expenses to be made before we can calculate our actual hourly wage.
Here, we can see that the Mixing and Mastering Engineer on average, has an hourly wage of € 41,67 . For this, they have years of experience, possibly one or more degrees, learned countless instruments, and invested a significant amount of money, time and uncertainty about the future.
We personally leave it to everyone to judge the adequacy of this result. We just want to point out the tiny ingredient that unfortunately cannot be measured with money: the creative energy and passion for music! Whether it is in mixing or in audio mastering of music. This is simply priceless!
