What does mixing including mastering cost?

Prices for analog mixing and mastering vary significantly depending on the quality of the raw material and the desired final sound of the song. Below is an example calculation for typical song projects with analog mixing and mastering:

Not every task required to complete a project is listed here, but the times shown represent the total workload for each individual step carried out by the studio engineer.

  • Quality: advanced home production (equipment and room acoustics worth approx. €2,000)
  • Price: €300 (≈ €10 per track including mastering). This rate is based on more than 20 years of time tracking across comparable projects.
