A DDP image (Disc Description Protocol) is a digital master format for CD production. It was designed to To avoid errors when delivering audio data to pressing plants.
The DDP image contains all important information such as Track order, interval times and CD text. In addition, a integrated checksum that your master flawless and exactly as planned is produced.
Why should I use a DDP image instead of an audio CD?
A DDP image is the standard for professional CD productionsIn contrast to self-burned audio CDs, the DDP image no C2 or C3 read errorswhich can be caused by bad burners or scratches.
In addition, the DDP image cannot be accidentally played or changed, e.g., by labels or managers. This protects your master from unnecessary loss of quality.
How do I create a DDP image?
The DDP image is according to the Sony Red Book standard created.
This means:
16 Bit / 44,1 kHz (Standard for audio CDs)
Maximum 99 tracks
minimum length 4 seconds per track
