What is a Suno Prompt?

A Prompt Suno is a short description that tells them how you want your song to sound. The clearer you describe it, the better.

  • which style you want (genre),

  • what mood the song should have

  • how fast it should be (speed),

  • and whether you want singing or not,
The more reliably Suno will fulfill your wish.

Important: You don't need to write in "technical" terms. A few clear words are enough.

This is how the Suno Prompt Generator works

  1. Select basic data: Genre, mood, tempo.

  2. Optional refinements: 1-3 instruments and a few sound words like "warm" or "polished".

  3. Decide on the text:

    • Instrumental: without vocals

    • Auto-Lyrics: Suno writes the lyrics

    • Or: Insert a lyrics template and make a few quick adjustments.

  4. Copy output: You copy the style, lyrics, and exclude and paste it into Suno.

(Similar to "How the BPM calculator works" with clear steps.)

Who is the tool suitable for?

  • beginners: You get a clear structure, without technical terms.

  • Content creators: Quick song ideas for shorts, reels, or podcasts.

  • Producer and musician: Better control over style, mood, and vocals.

  • Bands and projects: Quick demo material for songwriting and arrangement

0) Basic idea: "Less is more"

If you write too much, it often gets worse or becomes unpredictable.
The generator helps you, to start briefly and to avoid serious mistakes (e.g., too many tags, incorrect structure, incorrect mode).

A) Hobby users (HA) – quickly achieve a good first result

Step 1: Select “Hobby (HA)” at the top.

Then everything is automatically on short & simple posed.

Step 2: Take only these 3 fields.

In “1) Song Basis”:

  1. Genre (e.g. pop)

  2. Tuning (e.g., melancholic)

  3. Time (BPM or term)

➡️ That's usually enough.

Step 3: Optional 1 instrument (if you want)

In “2) Instruments & Sound”:

  • Click, for example. "Piano" or “Synth”
If you don't select anything, that's okay too.

Step 4: Make a text decision

In “3) Voice & Text”:

  • Don't you want to write a text?
Auto-Lyrics turn on and at Theme Enter 3-8 words.

  • Do you want to write text?
→ Click “Insert Template” and replace only the placeholders.

Step 5: Copy from the very bottom

In “5) Output for copying”:

  • Custom Output:

    • Copy “Style text”

    • Copy the “Lyrics field” (or leave it blank if using Auto-Lyrics)

    • Use "Not desired" only if absolutely necessary.

Done. Then generate – and after that only one thing change (e.g., tempo or mood).

B) Ambitious user (AA) – more control, yet still clean and short

Step 1: Select “Ambitious (AA)” at the top.

  2. Then 1–2 instruments → generate

  3. Then 2–3 sound tags → generate

  4. Only at the end: Fine-tuning / Exclude

This way you don't waste time dealing with 20 parameters at once.

Step 4: Fine-tuning only when necessary

With “4) Fine-tuning”:

  • Creativity pull down if it becomes "too random".

  • Style loyalty high if it doesn't match your style

  • Exclude use it to specifically avoid mistakes (e.g., autotune, screaming)

  • Genre: Pop

  • Mood: Melancholy

  • Tempo: 90 BPM

  • Instrument: Piano

  • Auto-Lyrics: an

  • Topic: "Night drive, rain, faint hope"
