Jens Reese has been an entrepreneur for over 25 years and has started his career with the founding of songs.de has a clear mission: to finally give music creators the appreciation and fair pay they deserve.

His journey into the music industry began 30 years ago with a small booking agency – long before terms like "music startup" or "streaming" were even in circulation. But he really delved into it with the development of songs.de, a platform that has consistently focused on fairness and independence for the past three years.

More than two decades ago, Jens had already acquired the domain songs.de registered with the vision of one day creating a digital space where artists are not only visible but also fairly compensated. My own experiences as a publisher on fremdwort.de – where fair compensation was also a recurring issue – have further strengthened this motivation.
