Peak-Studios is a professional recording studio in Stuttgart Located at Glockenblumenstraße 4 in Stuttgart-Vaihingen, we specialize in bands and handcrafted music: recording, mixing, and mastering, from drum recording to complete album production. We're easily accessible by public transport: about a 15-minute walk from Stuttgart-Vaihingen train station (S-Bahn lines S1, S2, S3) and about 10 minutes from the Vaihingen Schillerplatz light rail station (U1, U3, U6). There's a driveway directly at the studio for loading and unloading your equipment. We work with bands, musicians, and singer-songwriters from Stuttgart and the surrounding region. A full band recording day, including an engineer, starts at €850. A live session single—one song recorded live, mixed, and mastered—starts at €649, and complete EPs start at €2.990. All prices are final and include VAT; the final price will be determined during a free initial consultation.

Andreas Konstandaras – Drum sound with a personal touch

Andreas “Andi” Konstandaras manages our Stuttgart location – a producer and engineer who has been producing music since 1993: over 30 years of experience in rock, pop and indie.
He is best known for one thing: his drum sound – from a real kit in an acoustically optimized recording room to deceptively realistic drum programming when budget or time is tight. Among other things, he has produced two albums by the band VIOLET, worked with Mdot Walker, a top-five act at the German Singer Songwriter Awards, and collaborated with Frank Dapper, the drummer of Pur, on the drum sound. Back in the nineties, he engineered Atrocity's EP "Calling the Rain".

Andreas supports bands from pre-session coaching through arrangement to the finished mix – as a dedicated contact person who takes your music seriously.

10/10 experience – I booked several hours of mixing and mastering lessons and am honestly impressed by Chris's professional approach. Even before the first session, a thorough needs analysis was conducted to ensure we knew exactly where to start. Afterwards, I received a detailed course plan outlining all the topics and goals – extremely structured and professional. I've been producing music for over 10 years, but mixing has always been a huge mystery to me. After years lost in the endless tutorial jungle without any real progress, I decided to finally tackle the subject professionally – and Peak-Studios couldn't have been a better choice. After just the first few sessions, I finally had a clear understanding of things that had confused me for years. Topics like low-end control, frequency masking, balance, and clean stereo width suddenly became completely comprehensible and were no longer just a matter of "feel." I also particularly appreciate the support: After each session, there was a comprehensive summary plus a recording of the lesson, so you can review everything at any time. 🎸 Yes – that's exactly what our studio in Stuttgart is designed for: Five or more musicians can record live simultaneously, each with their own cue mix, plus there's a separate vocal booth. With over 30 inputs, any typical band setup is manageable. Whether you're recording live together or track by track, we'll discuss that in a free initial consultation – from drum recordings to the complete album.

How does a recording process work for you?

📍 You arrive at the studio at the agreed time. We take care of the equipment, setup & soundcheck. Then we record together – without any time pressure.

What should we bring with us for the recording?

🥁 Ideally, just you and your instruments – and even that's partly optional: The studio is equipped with drum kits from Tama, Gretsch, and Rogers with a wide selection of snare drums, plus backline for guitar and bass (including Marshall, Fender, Friedman, Soldano, and Ampeg), as well as piano, Fender Rhodes, and genuine Hammond cabinets. Song lyrics, demos, or guide tracks can be provided digitally (e.g., as WAV or PDF).

What equipment do you use to record in Stuttgart?

🎛️ Recording is done either via an analog Studer console or Universal Audio preamps, along with a Manley VoxBox and other Manley outboard gear, as well as compressors like the Urei 1178 and the Distressor. Over 30 inputs are available for live recordings – enough for drums, band, and guests simultaneously.

How much does a recording cost with you?

💶 A full band recording day with an engineer starts at €850, a half-day session (up to 4 hours) at €549. We record a single song as a live session single starting at €649 – fully mixed and mastered. What if we don't have a (suitable) drummer?

🥁 No problem – incredibly realistic hand-programmed drums are a specialty of our engineer: He builds the drums song by song with dynamics, ghost notes, and feeling, instead of using standard loops. This is the budget-friendly alternative to a full drum recording day – we'll calculate the scope individually in a free initial consultation.
