MASTER TAPE - RECORDING THE PAST

Under Master tape one understands the Storage of audio data on magnetic tape, similar to the cassette. The master tape was previously used in mastering studios to record and duplicate the final recordings and mixes. Nowadays the master tape is no longer used. We are thus embarking on a journey into the past. To change the song order you had to cut the tape. Hence the term "cut"Because recordings or takes used to have to be laboriously edited together to get them in the right order.

Multi-track recorders have often been used to record such tapes. The production of a sound recording was many times more complex and expensive than it is today in digital music production. Today so-called tape machines are only used to create a "saturation effect" of the so-called "Tape saturation" to get. For this purpose, the recorded material is recorded on tape and then digitized back into the DAW or the sequencer.

TAPE SATURATION IS ALSO AVAILABLE ON OUR STEREO MASTERING!

We'll add a warm tape saturation effect to your song.
