What is digital mastering?

Digital mastering can mean two things. Digital mastering refers to both a mastering that was created using only software plugins and a mastering that was created specifically according to the specifications for publication on digital platforms such as streaming services, websites or videos (Streaming Mastering). The two types of digital mastering are not necessarily related.

A mastering based purely on software plugins can be created for CD, vinyl as well as for streaming services or video. We offer this purely software-based mastering to our price-conscious customers at a reduced price.

A mastering that meets the standards for digital publications (e.g. according to EBI128), can also be created with hardware equipment. Our online upload form can be used at any time to upload our Online mastering service be selected according to the digital publishing guidelines.
